Restless night.

I've been having to get up at 4 am for morning practices this week. Monday I worked all three jobs, this had me out of the house from 5:30 am to 11:00 pm. By the time I got home from work Tuesday, I was pretty worn out. I had to get my laundry done with my free evening, but as soon as that was done, I went to bed. I was asleep by 9 pm.

The trouble with going to bed much earlier than I do any other night is that my body treated it like a nap.

I was awake again by midnight. Luckily I fell back asleep pretty quickly.

I was up again at 2 am. I was so hot and so thirsty, so I got out of bed for some water. When I got back in bed, my Blackberry blinking away at me so I had to check it. I had gotten an email from my mom about pictures that I've been wanting from her. This ended up in my signing up on shutterfly.com and ending up with stupid low-pixel copies of pictures. (Not pleased.)
By then I was pretty awake again so I had to turn The Office on in order to go back to sleep.

Basically, even though I tried to get extra sleep, I ended up feeling just as tired due to having a pretty restless night.

One of those mornings...

This transitional seasons thing really got to me this morning.
First off, I so did not want to get out of bed. Sure, I could say that pretty much every morning, but I really meant it today! Needless to say, I pressed snooze a few times too many this morning

Then I didn't want to get out of the shower. Now that is an unusual thing for me. I really dislike breathing humid air, therefore I don't care to stay in the shower for an extended period of time. I usually rush through my showers in order to get out as soon as possible. This morning I just wanted the hot water to keep pouring over me and never stop. I wanted it to just wash away everything.

At this point, I was already running late, but that wasn't the end. Today was one of those days where I hate everything I own. It is May 2nd and current 46 degrees Fahrenheit where I am. Is it winter? Is it spring? Is it warm? Is it cold? In Utah, you just can never quite predict. So, how am I supposed to dress? Should I dress to keep warm? Should I break out all my new Spring clothes that I really want to wear? I couldn't decide. On top of all that, I have to keep in mind every activity that I'll be doing tonight. I left my house at 5:30am and I probably won't be back till I'm ready to sleep. I've got to make sure I'm prepared, right? To make my morning a little more behind schedule, I ended up changing my outfit about 20 different times. The funny thing is the outfit I ended up wearing is an outfit that I three times decided not to wear. Did I hang any of the discarded items back up after deciding not to wear them? Of course not, I was running late. So now my bedroom floor is littered with discarded clothing items.

By the time I got dressed it was time to leave and I had pretty much done nothing with my hair except comb product through it. My hair is naturally pretty straight and very fine so its was already mostly dry except in the back. I decided in the interest of getting out of the door quickly, I'd just straighten my fringe. If you know me, you know that I pretty much never leave the house without doing my hair or makeup. Running out to the car sure was fun, I could feel my wet hair wanting to freeze.

With a morning like this, its a wonder that I don't look like a transient off the streets.
Its a good thing I'm so paranoid about being late, my over-planning on time really paid off today. I got to practice right as the clock turned to 6:00.
No sweat.

Weekend in review.

So, here is my weekend in review.

I messed up my sleep schedule pretty bad this weekend. I started the weekend out by going home from work and taking a 3.5 hour nap. So I stayed up till about 3am that night, which I usually cannot do. Saturday I took about a 2 hour nap so I stayed up till 3 again that night. Naturally, my body could not fall asleep last night so now I'm ready for another nap.

Saturday, Traci and I went looking for a place to live. We didn't really find much unfortunately. All the stuff in our price range was just so-so and the stuff we loved is more pricey. Typical, right? Of course. We'll have to keep looking I guess.

Sean and I went out to dinner with Mike and Traci Saturday night then went over to Mike's to watch movies. I saw The Chronicles of Narnia movie for the first time. I had forgotten how much I loved those books as a kid. I'm excited for the Prince Caspian movie now.

Sunday, we all got together at Mike's house to watch the game. I wasn't sure who to root for at first because I thought it would be cool to see a team have an undefeated season, but it would also be cool to see a team upset that perfect season. In the end I decided to root for the underdogs, the Giants. What a great 4th quarter that was! You almost feel sad for the Patriots though...

There were four dogs at Mike's house. If you know me at all, you know how I feel about animals, even dogs. For the most part they didn't do much of the things I hate about dogs, lick me, bark, jump on me, or put their noses on me. I did get a lot of drool on my. So nasty! There was a 5-month old bull dog there and he was actually pretty cute. He would just wiggle all over the place. I think Sean fell in love with him.

Well that about sums it up.
