Getting out of the office for lunch with SW and AC
Thanks Danielle for the lovely shoes from Solestruck.com!
Thanks Kristi and friends at Kaboodle for the fantastic giftcard to Target!
I'm kind of under the weather today, but maybe if I can stay awake when I get home from work, I'll post pictures from the costume party I attended last week.
10 points if you can tell me what I'm talking about based on the title alone.
No cheating!
Need a hint?
Okay. "Take bat bites seriously. Don't get bit."
Give up?
I'm talking about Season Four of The Office on DVD!
I stopped by Best Buy at lunch and picked up my copy today. Fun surprise, they had a limited edition "Dunder-Mifflin Fun Run Kit." Not only does this kit include the Season Four DVD, but it also has a "Support the Rabid" T-shirt, a "Support the Rabid" Bracelet and a water bottle.
Uh, yeah, that pretty much made my day.
If you're still confused, it's probably because you aren't in love with The Office yet. Watch it once, John Krasinski will win you over.

-My alteration post was mentioned on the Kaboodle blog!
-Talking to my mom.
-Long story here: On twhirl, misscedar posted "Wow this story is nuts: http://snurl.com/3d2rq" Curious about nutty stories, I clicked through and read the story. Knowing Marrdy would be interested, I shared it with her. She likes to talk to herself so all of the sudden I hear her say, "Joyce McKinney? Isn't that the one that.... Oh my gosh!" Silence... "Oh my gosh! Kirk!" Silence... "Oh my gosh! I know them! I have to call Jane!" Then she proceeds to have a lengthy conversation with Jane about this article. Marrdy cracks me up.
-Being featured on The Secret is in the Sauce! I adored what Heather said about me on there! I love knowing she enjoys those features of my blog.
-Comments galore! I promise, I will respond to all of you! I hope you saw something you liked and will return again!
-Getting invited to Cozycot.com. If you have an interest in beauty or fashion, you should sign up!
-Marrdy called Leona Lewis "Louisa Lancock." She's so funny!
-No panty hell/heaven today! That means I get to catch up on responding to all the comments that I got today.
-Two of the VV brothers showed up to work today in nearly identical outfits. I think they're single-handedly trying to save Steve & Barry's from bankruptcy.
-Goofing around with Wendy at practice. That woman sure can cheer me up!
-Wendy reminding me of when she met my sister at my 7th grade birthday party. I guess my sister was acting like a cat so Wendy went home and told her sister that I had a had a sister the same age, but that she acted like a cat. Good times.
-Rick was trying to ask Marrdy a question, but she wasn't listening so Rick told me to turn on the speaker phone and buzz her line so that she would listen. It worked.
-Getting my new skirt/dress/shirt. Now I just need to decide which way to wear it first!
-When I said something that went right over his head, Brett made a comment about how he thought he'd felt his hair ruffle. Ah, that Genola sense of humor.
Didn't get much sleep last night, I was up late chatting with a friend. I was kind of tired/grumpy today and the weather didn't help. ...but these are the things that made my day!
-"Q: You know why its almost impossible to solve a redneck murder? A: All the DNA is the same and there are not dental records!" - by Andy (he's killing me today!!)
I'd really like to encourage you all to do your own "things that made my day". Its a good way to reflect on the positive when you're feeling down. If you do, I'd love to read it! Either link back to this post or send me and email with your link.
Alright, I've put it off all day. Here comes the weekend recap...
Friday night I watched the Jazz pull off a win over the Lakers with an old friend and talked the night away.
Saturday was the W.O.W. (Women On Water) class. In preparation for the upcoming trip to Lake Powell, Steph, Lisa and I went to this class to be a better help to my dad with the boat.

Me concentrating on backing up the boat.
Yeah, I backed that up!
Saturday evening I decided to take the rest of the day for myself. I got lots of personal stuff done and enjoyed a very relaxing evening.
Sunday was Mother's Day, as you should already know. We went up to Darin's parent's in Layton for dinner.

Mother's Day balloons I'm assuming...
Out in the backyard...
My camera batteries died shortly after taking this video so most of the pictures we took are on my mother's camera.
Here is the video of my mother opening the gift from me and my siblings. -An explanation of the video- Steph and I decided to record her opening her gift because of the card. We happened to find the perfect card for her at the Hallmark store. It was a card that plays "Rhythm Is Gonna Get You" by Gloria Estefan when opened. My mother is a huge Gloria fan so it was such an awesome find. We knew she'd dance when she heard the card so we knew it needed to be recorded. The clothes and shoes were all from American Eagle. The mascara we got her is More Than Mascara by Estee Lauder.
Sunday evening produced a major wind storm that knocked over an awning on the back porch and a completely sleepless night for me.
