Had a super fun weekend in the Bay. Spent some time thrifting and shopping in Berekely, Emeryville, Hayes Valley and Haight Ashbury and spent waaaay too much money. This striped tunic was one of my spoils!

Grey and black striped tunic - Thrifted
Black clasp belt - American Apparel
Black cami - Express
Black liquid leggings - Target
Brown boots - Target

Veggie Benedict

Also discovered some yummy places to eat with the help of Yelp and Foursquare. If you're in the area, be sure to check out any or all of the following:
House of Nanking, SF (Additional thanks to kagerade for the recommendation!)
Wally's Cafe, Emeryville (Great lentil soup, beef schwarma and baklava)
Doyle Street Cafe, Emeryville (Pictured is the veggie benedict from this place. So yum!)

Lunchtime!

I need to go grocery shopping really bad, however it is something that I despise doing, so I procrastinate it like crazy. I ran out of stuff to bring with me for lunch so that means I have to go out for lunch. Today was a day where I was on my own for lunch. This sucks because I usually rely on my co-workers to decide on where we go for lunch, I'm much too indecisive. When left to my own resources, I usually just go to the Subway or the Wendy's which are just down the street.

Today it was subway. I have just a few comments about my trip there.

First off, having worked at Subway, I know that the floors are dirty enough that you shouldn't be allowing your child to be prancing around barefoot in there. Wait, no, you should probably never let your child be barefoot in pretty much any public place. I'm not child care expert and I have no children of my own, but I'm pretty sure this should be common sense.

When I got to the front of the line, there was a sign saying that they're not serving tomatoes due to some warning about salmonella. I hadn't heard anything about this and ate a raw tomato Saturday, so I googled it to find out more. I was pretty disappointed, because I LOVE tomatoes, but I guess its good that they're trying to protect the consumers.

Cute Subway guy that has worked there for as long as I've been going there (2.5 years) got brave and started up the most in-depth conversation we've had so far. He's so nice and probably the best sandwich artist there. I wish that he could make my sandwiches all the time, from start to finish. I also wish that I knew his name...

Next, I have a request for all Sandwich Artists. Please, for the love all things good, be a good S.A. and follow the sandwich making rules. It drives me absolutely crazy when I ask for pickles or peppers, you pile a huge handful on the sandwich, but when I ask for extra lettuce and tomatoes you act all stingy with them. Furthermore, the vegetables do not belong in the hinge of the bread, pick a side! Also, do you like to eat stems and cores? I know I don't, so quit being lame and leave them off my sandwich!

Yikes, I started getting a little heated there at the end. I think I will go cool off now!
